Houston ATV Tours โ€” Guided 1-Hour Adventures

Three tour options. Trained guides who know the trail. 1,000 acres in Crosby, TX โ€” 25 minutes from downtown Houston.

Houston ATV tours are a different category from ATV rentals. Renting means handing over a vehicle and a map and hoping you figure it out. A tour means you ride with a trained guide who's been on the trails enough times to know which mud zone has the best send and which corner traps first-timers. At HTown ATV Rentals, every tour is guided. We run 1-hour Houston ATV tours through 1,000 acres of off-road terrain in Crosby, TX โ€” east of the city about 25 minutes from downtown. Three tour options cover most riders: single-rider ATV ($100), double-rider ATV ($150), and the 4-seater UTV ($350). Pick your vehicle, we handle the rest.

What Makes a Houston ATV Tour Different from a Rental

A Houston ATV tour at HTown is built around the guide. They lead the group, set the pace, point out the mud holes that are deeper than they look, and shoot action photos along the way. You don't have to plan a route, find parking, or argue with anyone about which trail to try. Show up, gear up, ride. That's it. The 1-hour ride is calibrated โ€” long enough to settle into a rhythm and find some throttle confidence, short enough that you don't burn out. About two hours total at the park, including check-in and the safety course.

Most other Houston ATV tours run on rented gear with limited routing. We own the trail. The same 65+ Honda Rancher fleet we've maintained for years gives you reliable equipment, and our guides have run this exact loop hundreds of times. We know where the bottlenecks form on Saturdays, where the photo spots are, which sections are kid-friendly and which are send-it terrain. The tour structure also means there's a definitive start and end โ€” you ride one good loop, not a confused four laps in a parking lot.

The Three Tour Options โ€” Single ATV, Double ATV, 4-Seater UTV

Most Houston ATV tour guests pick the single-rider ATV โ€” $100 per vehicle, one driver, and you set the pace. The double-rider ATV is the same vehicle but rated for two people up to a combined 400 pounds. Common picks: parents with a kid 12+, couples where one rides while the other shoots, or two friends who'd rather split the cost. The 4-seater UTV (a Honda Talon side-by-side) is $350 per vehicle and holds up to four passengers โ€” best for families with younger kids, larger friend groups who want to ride as one, or anyone who doesn't want to drive their own ATV.

Pricing is per-ATV, not per-person, so the math gets simple fast. A group of four splitting two double-rider ATVs spends $300 total ($75 each). A family of four in one UTV spends $350 ($87.50 each). A solo rider on a single-rider ATV spends $100. Add the $20 per-person park admission, and that's your full out-the-door cost for a Houston ATV tour. No hidden fees, no add-on insurance pitch, no gear rental upcharge. The deposit ($20 per ATV) counts toward your total โ€” it reserves the slot, not an additional charge.

Houston ATV Tour Timeline โ€” From Arrival to the Ride

Plan for about two hours from arrival to driving away. You'll arrive 45 minutes to an hour before your scheduled tour time. The first ten minutes are check-in: signing the waiver, handing over your ID as collateral, and confirming your group. Next fifteen minutes are gear-up and the safety course โ€” helmet fitting, controls walkthrough, basic maneuvering, what to do in mud. Most beginners feel confident by the end of training. Then the 1-hour guided tour itself. Then ten or fifteen minutes after for photos, review-leaving, and handing back gear.

Late arrivals (less than 45 minutes before tour time) get a $20 late fee per ATV โ€” not because we're cranky but because the safety course actually takes that long, and we can't compress it without cutting corners. In some cases, the booking manager will reschedule a late arrival to the next available slot. Show up on time and you're in. The whole thing is engineered to deliver a real Houston ATV tour without the booking-for-an-hour-and-spending-three problem most rental places have.

Group Houston ATV Tours โ€” Discounts and Logistics

Houston ATV tours work especially well for groups. Birthday parties, bachelor and bachelorette weekends, corporate offsites, family reunions, and friend groups celebrating something all show up here. Group of five or more ATVs gets $10 off per vehicle โ€” that stacks with the military discount ($10 off per vehicle with valid ID). Up to 65 ATVs fit in a single tour slot, which means even a 25-person group can ride together as one cohesive tour rather than getting split into three different shifts at three different times. Block your group's date and we'll hold the slot.

Group bookings need a $20 deposit per ATV at booking time, just like solo rides. The remaining balance is paid in cash on the day of the tour, per ATV. We're cash-only on-site, but there's an ATM on premises if someone in your group forgets. Larger groups (10+ ATVs) usually get a private guide assigned to keep the formation tight. Children 12 and older can drive their own ATV; younger kids ride as passengers on a parent's double-rider or in the 4-seater UTV. We've yet to host a Houston ATV tour group that didn't leave loud and grinning.

Booking and Cancellation โ€” How a Houston ATV Tour Works

Booking a Houston ATV tour at HTown takes about 60 seconds. Hit Book Now, pick a tour time and vehicle type, pay the $20 deposit per ATV, and you're in. Reservations only โ€” no walk-ins. Reservations only sounds restrictive but it's how we keep tour group sizes manageable. We don't oversell, and the trail doesn't get overrun. You'll get a confirmation by email and a reminder before your tour. If your plans change, the cancellation window is generous and the policy is clear.

Cancel 48 or more hours before your tour and the $20 per ATV deposit comes back โ€” full refund. Inside that window the deposit is forfeited. Same for rescheduling: 24+ hours notice is free, less than 24 hours forfeits the deposit. Tours run rain or shine; the trails are actually more fun in the mud. We only reschedule for lightning. Houston weather changes fast, and we work with it. The 9 AM to midnight, 7-day operation means there's almost always a time slot that works for your group.
