Houston ATV Rentals on 1,000 Acres of Off-Road Trails

65+ Honda Ranchers ready to ride. $100 single rider, $150 double โ€” 1-hour guided tours through mud, forest, and open trails. Open 9 AM to midnight, every day.

Houston ATV rentals shouldn't be a hassle. Show up, gear up, and ride โ€” that's the whole pitch at HTown ATV Rentals. We run Houston's biggest ATV fleet (65+ Honda Ranchers) on 1,000 acres of off-road trails in Crosby, TX, just east of the city. Single-rider ATVs are $100. Double-rider ATVs are $150. Helmet, trained guide, on-trail photos, and a quick safety course are all in the price. The whole thing takes about two hours start to finish โ€” plenty of throttle, none of the fuss most rental places put you through. If you've been looking for a real Houston ATV rental that doesn't mess around, you're in the right place.

What's Included When You Rent an ATV from HTown

Every Houston ATV rental at HTown comes with the same package โ€” no upsells, no surprise fees at the gate. You get a 1-hour guided ride on 1,000 acres of off-road terrain, a DOT-approved helmet, and a trained guide who's run the trails enough times to know where the fun is. We also throw in a quick safety briefing and training course before the ride so even first-timers know what they're doing by the time they hit the throttle.

Photos and videos are on us too. Our guides shoot action footage during the tour, and you get all of it after the ride in exchange for leaving a review (we know, we know โ€” but it's how a small business stays in business). The rental window includes the ride itself plus the prep time before. Block out about two hours total. Closed-toe shoes are recommended but not required; we sell goggles ($20) and ski masks ($10) on-site if you forgot to bring your own.

Single Rider vs. Double Rider โ€” Houston ATV Rental Pricing

HTown's pricing is per ATV, not per person. A single-rider ATV is $100 and seats one driver. A double-rider ATV is $150 and seats one driver plus one passenger โ€” same vehicle, just rated for two people up to a combined 400 pounds. The 4-seater UTV (a Honda Talon, our side-by-side option) is $350 per vehicle and holds up to four passengers. Group of 5 or more ATVs? Save $10 per ATV. Active military gets another $10 off per vehicle with valid ID. Both discounts stack.

There's a $20 reservation fee per ATV when you book online. That counts toward your total โ€” it's not an add-on. The remaining balance is paid in cash at the park on arrival (we have an ATM if you forget). There's also a $20 per-person park admission fee paid on arrival, separate from your tour reservation, that covers trail access for every rider and passenger. Bring cash. No security deposit gets collected โ€” we hold a valid government-issued ID at check-in as collateral, returned the moment you wrap your ride.

Where You'll Ride โ€” 1,000 Acres of Houston Off-Road Terrain

HTown's trail system covers 1,000 acres of off-road terrain just east of Houston in Crosby, TX. The mix includes mud holes (the kind that send a wave of dirt over your handlebars), forest sections (single-track through pine and oak), and open straights where you can finally hold the throttle down. Most Houston ATV rental shops drop you in a parking lot. We hand you a Honda Rancher and a guide who actually knows the place. No two laps look the same โ€” water levels change, the mud shifts, the weekend crowd thins out by evening.

Our guides take groups through the trail in formations sized to the group โ€” solo riders join an open tour, private parties get private guides. Up to 65 ATVs fit in a single tour slot, which means even a 10-person bachelor group still feels like one cohesive ride instead of three different shifts. Tours run rain or shine โ€” the trails are actually more fun in the mud. We only reschedule if there's lightning. Houston weather changes fast; the trails are always ready.

Who Can Rent an ATV in Houston โ€” Age, ID, Experience

You don't need experience, a driver's license, or even your own gear to rent an ATV in Houston with HTown. What you do need: drivers must be 12 or older to operate an ATV. Passengers have no minimum age โ€” kids of any age can ride along with a parent or older sibling. Waiver signers must be 18 or older. Bring a valid government-issued ID โ€” physical ID, photo of ID on your phone, paper ID, birth certificate, or passport all work. We hold the ID at check-in as collateral and hand it back the second you finish.

If you only have a photo of your ID on your phone, we hold the phone instead. Passengers under 16 don't need ID. Closed-toe shoes are recommended, but slides, sandals, and Crocs are allowed if that's all you have. Sunglasses, sunscreen, and clothes you don't mind getting muddy round out the list. We sell goggles, ski masks, and ponchos on-site. The whole prep-and-ride takes about two hours, and you'll spend more of that on the trail than at the desk โ€” that's the point.

How to Book Your Houston ATV Rental and What Happens on Arrival

Booking a Houston ATV rental at HTown takes about 60 seconds. Hit the Book Now button, pick a tour time, pay the $20 reservation fee per ATV, and you're locked in. Reservations only โ€” we don't take walk-ins. That's not us being snobby; it's how we keep the trail group sizes manageable. Cancellation is free with 48 hours notice and your $20 deposit comes back. Inside 48 hours and the deposit is forfeited. Rescheduling is free with 24 hours notice; inside that window and the deposit is also forfeited.

On the day of your tour, arrive 45 minutes to an hour before your scheduled start. That gives us enough time for waivers, the safety and training course, and gearing up before the actual ride. Late arrivals (less than 45 minutes before tour time) get a $20 late fee per ATV โ€” and in some cases your booking manager will reschedule you to a later slot. We're at 807 Highway 90, Crosby, TX 77532 โ€” about 25 minutes from downtown Houston, 45 minutes from Katy, an hour from The Woodlands. See you on the trail.
